When I saw this video, I was very eager to see it.
But frankly it falls very short of my expectations.
In the Xingyi/Neija videos he spent lot of time discussing very small but very important Xingyi structure.
Which made older series really valuable for any neija or internal martial arts enthusiast.
This is about 55 min video.
In which there is a short form of taiji its instruction, some applications which includes weapons and empty hands.
Frankly speaking in 55 minutes covering all of these would be very hard.
For guys who are new to Internal Martial arts, this might be decent enough.
But Still Xingyi Series is FAR BETTER.
This Video have form, demo and its instruction on postures.
Then demo on Fajing Based Form.
Which I’d say… m not impressed.
If you check youtube you can check Yang Jwing Ming adding fajing to basic Yang Form.
You can see the difference.
Then applications started with Knife wielding assailant.
again….for some reason all martial arts tend to show off their knife handling skills.
Specially martial arts who have extensive background on arts that are often known for their empty hand skills.
I just dont get impressed.

Being someone who has background of not only Internal MA but also Filipino weapon systems.
rest are empty hand applications.

regardless of my heavily biased views on weapon handling.

I do think Alex shows powerful structure in his taiji but unfortunately, beginners are not going to be able to see that.

Personally I’d have preferred like his Xingyi videos, if he picked a small subset of taiji and spent time explaining the concept and it’s application.
It’d have made the videos more valuable.
