Description:
Message from the Speaker
I recall seeing client after client while working as a psychotherapist at a nonprofit HMO. They were stressed-out, prone to panic attacks, or just unable to handle stress. They had unsuccessfully seen doctors. I wasn’t much use. Instead of treating each person as an individual and highlighting what was great, I was locked in a rut addressing symptoms and concentrating on what was wrong.
I entered a meditation class taught by the most fantastic, vibrant, and self-assured teacher out of a desperate need to discover something better for myself and my clients. After only one session, I felt more energized, more able to handle things, and more focused on my clients.
The creator of mindfulness-based stress reduction, Jon Kabat-Zinn, was this kind and outstanding educator (MBSR).
That was thirty years ago, and since then, with the assistance of Jon Kabat-Zinn, I have been able to change my life and my practice by applying the exact same ideas I learned in that Worcester, Massachusetts yoga session. Alongside Jon, I established my own practice, became a teacher, and I soon started witnessing amazing patient outcomes. I was feeling upbeat, self-assured, and enthusiastic about my therapeutic practice.
Then, in 1995, I received a cancer diagnosis. I experimented with mindfulness-based stress reduction and learned firsthand how to cope with the discomfort and stress of chemotherapy and everything else associated with a stem cell transplant.
The University of Massachusetts Medical Center, Emory University, and the Dana Farber Cancer Institute have developed mindfulness-based therapies for bone marrow transplants as a result of my personal and professional experience with this evidence-based methodology.
My life and the lives of many of my clients have been improved through mindfulness-based stress reduction. I wish to impart these techniques to you.
These devices are effective and easy to use. Below I have offered a FREE approach for you to try with your customers, so you can see for yourself. If you want to see it, you only have the next two weeks to do so. I’m hoping to meet you at my workshop soon.
