Karen has worked as a nurse for almost 26 years, and she has mostly cared for cardiac patients. Karen has devoted ten years of her professional life to managing and overseeing cardiovascular programs. Her dedication to achieving excellence at the bedside is clear from her routine work.

In addition to running a part-time clinical practice, Karen is a co-owner of the training and consulting company Key Choice. She travels around the country to give continuing education on a wide range of cardiovascular and critical care issues and to consult on leadership and management.
