An interactive course called Aikido3D was created to provide new methods for learning the art.

Turning on and off information about the “center” of uke and naga; controlling the program in three dimensions; sensei’s voice instruction for each technique; information about the name and key components of each technique; controlling the playback speed;
• Activating and deactivating the hakama display to get a better perspective of the uke and nage’s motions
• 3 cameras for top-down pictures of the foreground and a follow camera For a deeper knowledge of technology, turn on and off the footprint picture, rotate the front camera 360 degrees, and zoom in and out.

Aikido3D is a special, interactive training tool that offers fresh ways to discover the art of aikido by combining real-time 3D animation with Motion Capture technology.

System prerequisites
• Windows 98, 2000, and XP by Microsoft
• XGA Resolution; Pentium III 733MHz or AMD CPU; 256MB System RAM (1024×768)
• 3D graphics hardware acceleration with 8MB or more
• Version 5 of DirectX (or newer)
50MB of disk space and a sound card that works with Windows
