What you’ll discover

After completing this course, you will be equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to use Autodesk’s tools and libraries to accomplish a project from start to end.
To make sure the program has been installed properly, I will first walk you through the download and installation procedure.

I’ll be utilizing the 2018 metric version along with the UK component library throughout this session. Do not worry whether you are using the Imperial version or an other regional library. The procedure and steps will all remain the same.
In the same way that you only work on one project using BIM, I’ve designed this course in the same way. Through the course, we will only model one project.
Don’t worry if you have never used Revit or any other CAD-based program before. I’ll start at the very beginning and increase your capacity to develop your own Revit models.
The course will begin with the fundamentals, covering everything from the tools and interface to the language used by Revit.
Then, as we go with the project, we’ll start to add more tools and features.
Including the datum components, such as the grids and levels.
structural elements, including the major and minor elements of the walls, windows, doors, floors, staircases, ceilings, curtain walls, and roofs.
The next step is to learn how to generate 2D details, how to tag the components, how to construct schedules and legends, how to produce render pictures, and how to create video walk-throughs.
After setting up our sheets, we will submit them to print.
I’ve given you the course notes and working files you’ll need to follow along with the videos.
