Joey Yap

Dato’ Joey grew up in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Australia at the age of 22.

Throughout his childhood, he was always intrigued by abstract sciences and the principles of the universe that were beyond what was taught in the school labs. At the age of 15, he began self-studying from books and all written references he could find on classical Feng Shui and Chinese Metaphysics.

Armed with a new mission, by the age of 17 Dato’ Joey had learnt to source out various classical literatures in Chinese metaphysic science and teachers thus enabling him to continue his path. At the age of 20 and while everyone else had odd jobs working for cafes or within the campus, Dato’ Joey was already conducting Feng Shui consults all over Australia.

Upon graduation, he faced what was probably his biggest dilemma. Everyone he knew went on to join MNCs or The Big Five. The closest people around him all told him to get a real job and to join the workforce, not to waste his time as this path does not earn a decent living, and to forgo the hobby that he had. He was told that no one wants to be known as a ‘Fortune Teller’ nor will one ever become financially independent being a Feng Shui consultant.

But by the age of 26, just 5 short years after graduating he had proved his detractors wrong by becoming a self-made millionaire. And by 32, he runs a multi-million dollar company with business interests in education, consulting, publication, IT and properties – making him financially free. Dato’ Joey stayed true to his immense passion for the subject, which is the driving factor of all that he has accomplished today.
