Creating Value in Regulated World by Cedric Read
Creating Value in Regulated World by Cedric Read
This book advocates for recognizing and analyzing an entity’s intangible worth rather than only its physical assets. It entails going beyond economic theory to reprioritise and transform the organization in order to produce more value through procedures, systems, controls, strategies, abilities, and knowledge. The intangible value chain is also mapped.
The book examines value networks and poses the following queries using actual projects:
How do business value networks look?
How do they generate value?
How can the value chain be “valued”?
What can be learned from businesses that have high-value networks vs those that have low-value networks
What effect does it have on financial practices, procedures, standards, and abilities.
With the help of the case studies and interviews with the CFOs of the participating companies, it will be possible to sharpen focus, increase shareholder value, increase transparency on both an internal and external level, reduce waste in the current decision support system, avoid making poor decisions, and miss out on opportunities.
