I’ve been a day trader for more than 15 years, and my name is David Marsh. I originally went online in 2007 and offered my Tick Trader Day Trading Course for sale. Because of its popularity, we had to restrict enrollment and subsequently stop selling it to the general public in 2012.
Regarding David Marsh
Since the beginning of the 1990s, I have been active in the markets. I began trading futures, then transitioned to options trading, advanced to stock trading, then went full circle and returned to futures trading, where I will remain indefinitely. I also learned daytrading and swing trading at this period.
When I was 21 years old, I traveled from Buffalo, New York, to Chicago by car in order to attend a $3800 options class. The training was excellent; I gained a lot of knowledge and had the opportunity to visit the Chicago Board of Trade, where I even bought a sweater. I had to put all I had learnt on hold, though, since when I arrived home I was broke and had to go back to work!
I was able to create an account and save some money. I blew up the account in a few of months. As soon as it occurred, I resumed my search for trade secrets. I attended a lot of expensive seminars, read a lot of books, and even purchased several GURUS home study courses. I gained knowledge of technical analysis and all the many indicators available for forecasting future market values.
The first three years were really difficult. I lost tens of thousands of dollars and blew out several trading accounts. Despite my realization that trading is a difficult profession, I continued on in the hope that one day I would succeed. After some time, I eventually understood that discipline was what I was lacking. I found it difficult to adhere to the regulations!
I completely revised the way I think about trading. I understood that it was a difficult industry and that I had no business dealing if I couldn’t adhere to the regulations. My trading career completely changed after that!
I then devised a fairly straightforward trading strategy. I discovered two signs that, when combined, were remarkably accurate. Naturally, I tried it in the past for a few months to see how it operated and to develop rules, entries, exits, etc. After approximately three months, I started trading live with real money, and the outcomes were excellent.
My entire mindset has changed. Back then, I wanted to get rich quick in the stock market. That is no longer the case. I now make a career from trading! I take a little bit each day to live quite comfortably. I prefer to think of it as an apple tree in front of my house. I walk outdoors each day and get the apples I’ll need for the day. I don’t attempt to remove the entire tree!
I trade for 1 point every day to support my “lifestyle”! One point every day of trading is a fairly doable objective. I just trade more contracts if I need to increase my profit. Look at my Business Plan to get a sense of what 1 point a day can do.
