Cynthia L. Webner, DNP, RN, CCNS, CCRN-CMC, CHFN, has more than 32 years of experience working in a variety of clinical practice settings, including critical care and cardiovascular medicine. She worked in nurse management and heart center administration for twelve years. She is presently employed by a sizable medical cardiology practice as an acute care clinical nurse specialist in a hospital setting. Cindy is in charge of the hospital’s therapeutic hypothermia program for cardiac treatment. Cindy is passionate in cardiac patients as well as nursing practice. She thinks that clinical practice is changed by information. Cindy is a co-owner of Key Choice and Cardiovascular Nursing Education Associates in addition to running a part-time clinical practice. She contributed to the 2007 CNEA publication Cardiovascular Nursing Practice: A Comprehensive Nursing Resource Manual. Cindy’s lectures in local and national venues are renowned for their high energy and comedy levels while delivering extremely complex subject. Cathy Lockett, RN, MHA, BSN, CCRN EMERITUS, has over 35 years of experience as a critical care nurse. With the majority of her clinical expertise in the fields of medical cardiology and cardiovascular surgery, her background in critical care includes working in medical, surgical, neuro, cardiac, and cardiovascular care. She has worked as a staff nurse, preceptor, educator, and supervisor while providing cardiovascular care.
Cathy has spoken on a variety of subjects pertaining to cardiac and pulmonary care, such as EKG interpretation, hemodynamic monitoring, basic and advanced arrhythmia, pulmonary disorders, and IABP treatment, using her extensive expertise and experience. Cathy also serves as a member of the American Heart Association’s Training Center Faculty for the specialties of Basic Life Support, Advanced Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
Cathy has a lively, upbeat teaching style that is nevertheless approachable and simple to grasp.
