Course Detail
Salepage: Erle Montaigue – Self Defence A to Z Vol.1
Takes
the novice right from the beginning in learning purely self defence the
way Erle Montaigue learnt it. Training methods whereby the beginner is
able to coordinate body and mind and take the self defence methods into
the reflex area rather than only learning techniques etc. These are some
of the most dangerous striking methods ever invented aimed at the most
vulnerable parts of the body.We
only have three combined training methods to begin with (with
sub-0methods for each) and these give you all you will ever need in a
real confrontation or life or death situation. Instantaneous defence and
attacking methods that go into one’s sub-conscious and never leave you.
Mostly aimed at the neck and eye area, these methods will stick with
you through out your life and although I say that they are ‘basic’ you
will find them very advanced really.I
can recommend this series to anyone beginner or advanced martial
artist. And after not looking at this title in particular for about ten
years, and having just viewed it all the way through, I now believe that
this should be taught all students!Level: BeginnerRun Time: 83 mins
Health and Medical course
More information about Medical:
Medicine is the science and practice of establishing the diagnosis, prognosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.
Medicine encompasses a variety of health care practices evolved to maintain and restore health by the prevention and treatment of illness.
Contemporary medicine applies biomedical sciences, biomedical research, genetics, and medical technology to diagnose, treat, and prevent injury and disease,
typically through pharmaceuticals or surgery, but also through therapies as diverse as psychotherapy, external splints and traction, medical devices, biologics, and ionizing radiation, amongst others.
Medicine has been around for thousands of years, during most of which it was an art (an area of skill and knowledge) frequently having connections to the religious and
philosophical beliefs of local culture. For example, a medicine man would apply herbs and say prayers for healing, or an ancient philosopher and physician would apply bloodletting according to the theories of humorism.
In recent centuries, since the advent of modern science, most medicine has become a combination of art and science (both basic and applied, under the umbrella of medical science).
While stitching technique for sutures is an art learned through practice, the knowledge of what happens at the cellular and molecular level in the tissues being stitched arises through science.
