In
this short series, Erle teaches the important area of Tai Chi Chee Sau
or Sticking Hands. Erle has covered this area of one’s push hands
straining briefly on other DVDs but never in such great detail in a
dedicated DVD set. Chee Sau is not an advancement of Push Hands but
rather an addition where we join hands with a partner and begin circling
the hands 180 degrees out of phase, never losing contact. We
learn to use Eagle Vision and to attack as soon as we are attacked with
the shortest route and with the greatest power from short distances. We
learn at a reflex level how to know when an attack will happen and to
move the body accordingly in an instant and to re-attack to vital
points. We learn how to react at a sub-conscious level by taking in how
the opponent’s body moves in order to know what type of attack is
imminent even before it happens!
