She is committed to doing all in her power to improve the quality of life for all living things on our earth. She thinks that individuals may develop their consciousness and build their own sense of serenity when they learn how to meditate and regularly practice. Everybody lives on a more peaceful planet when we are all at peace. She has worked as a teacher for 24 years, and her pupils include moms and fathers, small children, professional and Olympic athletes, rock stars, and presidents of Fortune 500 firms.
“I enjoy showing others how to meditate. One of the happiest moments of my life, she declares.
In order to teach my students and others how to become proficient meditation and mindfulness instructors, she established the Meditation Teacher Academy at the McLean Meditation Institute. A number of meditation and mindfulness practices from many traditions and lineages are incorporated into the 200-hour curriculum. We train our instructors to be effective communicators who can introduce meditation to any audience or environment. Each instructor receives one-on-one attention from Sarah in order to help them discover their best talents and confidence so they can successfully teach their pupils to meditate.
As a behavioral specialist in the U.S. Army trained to assist troops with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Sarah first discovered meditation.

When she got home, she started her daily meditation routine and studied mind-body medicine with Dr. Deepak Chopra at the Ayurveda Health Center, a Transcendental Meditation community, in Lancaster, Massachusetts. Sarah was appointed the Chopra Center for Wellbeing’s program director after Deepak relocated to California.
Sarah took a break after eight years to look into the history of meditation. She spent six months at a conventional ashram in South India and two years as a resident in a seclusion Zen Buddhist monastery.
