Episode Synopsis: Garry Tonon’s rise through the ranks of no-gi
submission-only grappling culminated with one of the best performances
of his career at EBI 5. We were right there alongside Tonon as he tore through the competition at the Orpheum Theater in Los Angeles, submitting all of his opponents. Between
matches the film switches back to Tonon’s life in New Jersey and New
York city. We see him training alongside his mentor John Danaher at the
Renzo Gracie Academy in Manhattan and learn a surprising fact about his
relationship with leglocks. Also, Tonon gives us a first look at his
preparations for a future MMA career.

While stitching technique for sutures is an art learned through practice, the knowledge of what happens at the cellular and molecular level in the tissues being stitched arises through science.
