About Author
John J. Liptak
John J. Liptak never intended to be a writer. While working on his Doctor of Education degree in Counselor Education at Virginia Tech, he created a career assessment for his dissertation. This assessment, the Career Exploration Inventory (CEI) was later published and has sold millions of copies worldwide. Since then John has had thirteen more assessments published by JIST Publishing. With the success of these assessments, John began writing books of assessments for readers. John quickly learned that he had a unique ability to take materials that are esoteric and somewhat nebulous and reworking them to make them understandable and useful to a wide variety of populations.
His thirteen assessment-based books have been very well received by his readers and John’s books have been featured in numerous newspapers including The Washington Post, The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, and the Associated Press. His work has also been featured on MSNBC, CNNRadio, and on the PAX/ION television series, “Success without a College Degree.
