A little background Many years ago, before the Trader Affirmations CDTM, we printed out affirmations that students were supposed to read aloud. No one did. Then, we advised them to film the affirmations and play the tape back. No one did. To help our students and those who wish to improve the psychological elements of their trading, we created an Affirmations CD. To perfect the affirmations, we collaborated with a number of traders, a hypnotherapist, and an authority on affirmations. (Note: You can plainly hear the affirmations; they are not hypnosis nor subliminal.) The affirmations were then recorded by a skilled voice-over artist whom we had engaged. After that, we engaged a recording professional to level out all the affirmations and insert equal amounts of silence in between them. Then, we had him add some low-key background music that we had purchased that was royalty-free. The end product is 33 minutes of calming affirmations that are tailored exclusively for traders. We put the 33 minutes of affirmations on the CD twice since a CD can store that much information once. Thus, one CD has 66 minutes of uplifting trading affirmations.

The affirmations are portable, so you can listen to them anywhere. You can “operate equipment” since they are not hypnosis.

What time of day is ideal for listening to it?

We’ve discovered that while you’re not trading is the ideal moment to listen to the CD. In fact, we’ve discovered that it functions best when played when driving alone. Just use it as background music by turning the volume down. Driving the automobile provides enough of a diversion to prevent you from trying, which makes it easier for the affirmations to become automatic.
