Who the Author Is
A. B. Alpesh
According to Channel 4, Alpesh is the most well-known online trader in the UK. He began purchasing stocks at the age of 12 and programming computers in BASIC when he was just 12 years old. He retired from law to pursue trading full-time.
Since he was a Congressional Intern in 1994, he has heavily relied on the internet for research, integrating it with his own technical analysis tools, and he now focuses on trading US equities, futures, and options. He placed first out of 45 professional stock pickers on the most recent season of Show Me The Money on Channel 4.
Alpesh contributes the weekend Financial Times’ “Diary of an Internet Trader” and makes a weekly appearance on Bloomberg TV’s “Bloomberg Money.” He finished filming his own TV interview program, “NewsBytes,” in 2001.
Net Trading, Trading Online, The Mind of a Trader, and Pocket Guide to Trading Online are all written by Alpesh and are available from Financial Times Prentice Hall. His writings have been adapted into Polish, Chinese, German, French, and Spanish.
Alpesh often delivers lectures on technical analysis, internet trading, and trading psychology across the world.
Patel, Priyen
Priyen’s interest in trading began while he was a young student and was living with his cousin Alpesh, the co-author. His interests are in trading stock futures, CFDs, and short-term derivatives, with a focus on technical analysis and macroeconomics.
A recent Oxford University graduate, he studied philosophy, politics, and economics at St Anne’s College, just like Alpesh. Priyen excelled in his degree and gained awards, in contrast to Alpesh.
