Journal of the Australian Tech Analyst Assoc (1990–1998)
The main objective of the Australian Technical Analysts Association (ATAA), a non-profit organization, is to promote the proper use of technical analysis.
Both professional technical analysts and private individuals who utilize technical analysis to support choices linked to trading and investing in the financial markets are members of the organization.
The Association’s main objective is to educate its members so they can trade and invest more successfully.
The ATAA also seeks to accomplish the following objectives:
a) To create personal connections amongst analysts inside and outside of Australia with the goal of advancing technical analysis theory and practice.
b) To increase public understanding and regard for technical analysis.
c) To arrange meetings and promote the exchange of materials, concepts, and expertise in order to broaden members’ understanding.
d) To promote among technical analysts the highest levels of professionalism, competence, and ethics.
The Association was formally founded on April 26, 1990, by a small group of technical experts who regularly convened.
The membership is diverse in terms of occupation, location, market interests, and marketing strategy. Corporate treasurers, mid-level managers, bank analysts and traders, stockbrokers, financial planners, local and private traders, investors, and students are among the current members.
The International Federation of Technical Analysts (IFTA), with which the ATAA is linked, aids members in staying current with global markets and technological advancements.
Since all ATAA members are also IFTA colleagues, they are all eligible to register for the annual IFTA conference at a discounted fee.
The IFTA education program, which offers two internationally recognized technical analysis credentials, is also open to ATAA members.
