What exactly is intentional rest?
In just 30 seconds, you may relax and rest for whatever is upsetting you by using the Intentional RestingTM technique.
Hi May,
I just wanted to let you know how much I am loving using “Intentional Resting.” It works wonders for falling asleep, and it also works wonders for soothing an upset stomach after eating out.
Scotland’s Dunblane, Flora Adam
What is its foundation?
The foundation of intentional resting is the idea that stress has become many people’s default condition, frequently to the point that they are unaware of it. This puts our bodies and brains on constant alert, which may lead to a variety of illnesses, from melancholy to arthritis to insomnia to bad sleep.
Since I started practicing intentional resting, I’ve realized that even though I was getting good sleep, I wasn’t really resting. I’ve woken up feeling more alive after less hours of sleep after purposefully relaxing into sleep!
Doesn’t sleeping constitute relaxing?
Actually, no. Most individuals do something to unwind, whether it’s taking deeper breaths, listening to music, or watching TV. Many people also struggle to get the relaxation they desire.
The word “rest” is derived from the verb “arrĂŞter,” which means “to pause” in French. When we sleep, the stress reaction is automatically turned off, allowing our bodies and minds to rebalance and repair in the way that is optimal for them.
By taking a nap, you transform from a “human doing” to a “human being”!
What can a nap do for me?
From a stressed-out condition, resting helps you reach stillness (also known as calm, being, or pure consciousness). It returns you to your home! Most individuals view resting as a process of settling in.
Resting makes room in your body and mind, making it possible for you to automatically repair and rebalance, which will revitalize and restore you. After sleeping, many individuals feel reenergized.
Resting has proven to be particularly helpful for fibromyalgia and sleep problems, as well as a variety of other diseases.
I felt better, looked better, and awoke well rested. I utilized it to rest into my vulnerabilities, my spirit, my thoughts, my health (YES! My leg discomfort is gone!!!! ), and into problems that are challenging for me to handle.
Instead of confronting the problem from the front, where I have previously been and where it felt high-adrenaline, it is like slipping via the back door. The “back-door” approach is extremely calm, quiet, and low-stress.
Since all the ways I was familiar with were high-adrenaline ones, I was searching instinctively for this approach but never found it. I believe that relaxing immediately enters us into pure consciousness.

Resting can be used for:
to ease relationships, to ease situations like going to the dentist, giving a presentation, or banging your leg into a stool in a preventative manner to keep your body and mind healthy for work, the earth, the environment, and more. to soften acute conditions, like when I banged my leg into a stool, paused to rest, and the pain vanished in seconds.
You can utilize resting for just much everything!
How do you consciously relax?
It’s simple; you just take note of how you’re feeling, say a short word, and pause.
With 7 suggestions for productive resting, My Quick Start for Intentional Resting contains audio and written guides.
