Dean “Boogeyman” Lister, a former two-time U.S. National Sambo champion, was also the 2003 Abu Dhabi Absolute Division champion and the U.S. Machado National Brazilian Jiu Jitsu champion.
Without a doubt, Dean is regarded by many as the finest submission grappler in the world. He has participated in three UFC fights that were shown on television and has another three fights left on his UFC contract. A training DVD, Real World Submissions DVD Volume I & II, follows Dean as he travels the globe documenting seminars and procedures in various cities around Europe. Future volumes, which will feature interviews and training sessions with some of the top fighters and trainers working today, including Mirco Crocop, Randy Couture, Ivan Hippolyte, and others, will be filmed throughout South America, Russia, Croatia, and the United States. Dean accepted Tito Ortiz’s invitation to serve as his assistant grappling coach for The Ultimate Fighter’s third season, which broadcast on Spike TV, in 2006. Dean’s popularity grew as a result of the show’s exposure to a sizable TV audience and the numerous compliments the fighters on the show gave him. Real World Submissions DVD stands out from other training DVDs because its material is quite broad, in contrast to other training videos that are exclusively shot in gyms and lack creativity.
Health and Medical course
More information about Medical:
Medicine is the science and practice of establishing the diagnosis, prognosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.
Medicine encompasses a variety of health care practices evolved to maintain and restore health by the prevention and treatment of illness.
Contemporary medicine applies biomedical sciences, biomedical research, genetics, and medical technology to diagnose, treat, and prevent injury and disease,
typically through pharmaceuticals or surgery, but also through therapies as diverse as psychotherapy, external splints and traction, medical devices, biologics, and ionizing radiation, amongst others.
Medicine has been around for thousands of years, during most of which it was an art (an area of skill and knowledge) frequently having connections to the religious and
philosophical beliefs of local culture. For example, a medicine man would apply herbs and say prayers for healing, or an ancient philosopher and physician would apply bloodletting according to the theories of humorism.
In recent centuries, since the advent of modern science, most medicine has become a combination of art and science (both basic and applied, under the umbrella of medical science).
While stitching technique for sutures is an art learned through practice, the knowledge of what happens at the cellular and molecular level in the tissues being stitched arises through science.
