Introducing ASCEND: Modern Grand, a reimagining of the legendary Concert D. Heavyocity began with one of the best cinematic pianos in the world and then further developed the largest grand piano by discovering novel techniques to elicit sound from this nine-foot structure. First, creating a brand-new engine to reproduce these remarkable sounds, and then meticulously recording numerous planned performances (with brushes, hammers, ebows, chains, and twine).

This particular grand piano was hand-selected by the Heavyocity team for its exceptional warmth, depth, and texture, and was recorded in breathtaking detail at a historic NYC studio. The team once again collaborated with renowned Film Score Mixer Satoshi Noguchi, armed with a top-notch collection of vintage and contemporary microphones, to bring the famed Steinway sound into your studio.
