The Trickster connects us with Nature’s evolutionary brilliance. It quickens inside us when we reach the condition of wonder, readiness and openness to dance, in the choreography of creation.

As we do, we individually become agents of emancipation and blessing. We learn to enlist the brilliance of the wicked to serve the good. We explore the Underworld with pluckiness and daring. We become increasingly more effective Players on the Team of Creation.

Converting poison into medicine

Trickster really prefers the chances of “against all odds,” thus today is the ideal time to awaken this archetype within each of us.

Trickster enables us to access the specific and required Medicine that each of us carries for the present. For instance, The Trickster demonstrates how to transform tragedy into “my hazardous lovely mission,” turning what initially seems to be poison into a personal healing tonic.

Humans and our flora and fauna relatives? The Trickster is welcome, right? Can the truth be spoken without causing fear? Yes?! We spoon it out. No? Council 3: Freeing the Past by Becoming Disciplined Wild People, Breaking Old Spells, Making New Vows with Saturn & Uranus

The phrase “disciplined wild” is not actually in opposition. Like wolves, which serve as inspiring models of leadership, what we call wild nature is extremely disciplined.

So we send the wolves in.

As children, we all make promises about how “reality” will be and what we must do to survive. They are also important and beneficial. at first. However, once they enter the unconscious, where they become binding spells rather than useful vows, they go blub blub blub. (We will also talk about and look up any ancestral spells or vows we may have made.)

When we come together in this way, we can ladle out fresh, more practical vows and cast all old ones into the Underworld River. Whatever we do for ourselves equips us spiritually to accomplish the same thing for others. It is really necessary for humans to break old spells and make new promises.

Third Trickster shift: What we’ll do

Uninitiated Mars is destroying the world. Venus and Mars = hyper-yang death frenzy. The initiator of Mars throughout legendary history has always been Venus. Let art exist where there is conflict. Venus draws the desired in and draws it in before giving it to Mars to activate. (And Venus and Mars dance within each of us in different, personalized ways, so they are not the same as masculine and feminine.)

Venus asserts that every peace is a victory for imagination and beauty if all conflict is a failure of both.

Caroline Casey is an award-winning social entrepreneur, Ashoka Fellow and Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum. Since taking the life-changing decision at 28 to leave her career in management consulting, Caroline has committted to creating inclusion for all.

In 2000, she rode 1,000 kilometers across India on an elephant to raise funds for Sight Savers. Then, as founding CEO of Kanchi, in Dublin, she developed a set of best practices for businesses, to help them see “disabled” workers as an asset, as opposed to a liability. Hundreds of companies have adopted these standards, changing their policies and attitudes. In 2004, Casey started the Ability Awards, sponsored by 02, to recognize Irish businesses for their inclusion of people with disabilities, as employees, suppliers, customers and members of the community. The initiative received great international praise and, in 2010, a parallel program was launched in Spain, backed by Telefónica.

In 2015 Casey founded business inclusion company Binc which, in August 2017, launched #valuable – a worldwide ‘call to action’ for business to recognise the value and potential of the 1 billion people living with a disability and position disability equally on the global business agenda.
