The simple fact is that most Jiu Jitsu is done in the half guard using
the Knee Shield. Even when we prefer to be in other guards that are
more favorable to us, often times we end up in the Knee Shield position.
It is a great position to defend, rest, and even attack your opponent.
This DVD includes many of my favorite sweeps, submissions, and
transitions to other guards.

In recent centuries, since the advent of modern science, most medicine has become a combination of art and science (both basic and applied, under the umbrella of medical science).
While stitching technique for sutures is an art learned through practice, the knowledge of what happens at the cellular and molecular level in the tissues being stitched arises through science.
