An Overview of Mindvalley and OmHarmonics

The new-age band Mindvalley, originally from America but now located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, has a section called OmHarmonics.

They present themselves as the cutting-edge present and future of meditation and have identified a market opportunity for the creation of novel tools and methodologies that support healthy lives and mental states.

Their main argument is that education may empower people to “Be Extraordinary” in accordance with Mindvalley’s catchphrase.

They create health and fitness platforms including Zenward, Omvana (which provides audio assistance for meditation), and Elula (for self-development education) (for yoga).

They are attempting to advance their main objective, which is the transformation of global education from early childhood through adulthood.

These adaptable educational professionals are advocating a new generation of meditation audio tools.

Their arsenal of tools includes engineering noises, which are said to improve learning capacity, stimulate creativity, improve problem-solving skills, help with pain management, and increase attention and concentration.

These assertions are indeed rather high, and it is simple to criticize them. So let’s examine the product and be (constructive) critical.

Let’s keep in mind for the sake of this evaluation that the core facility of such activities has inspired and brought out the best in those who place a strong emphasis on achieving success.

Thus, this is really a straight-up set of binaural beats like those you can purchase from other shops, correct?

Not exactly. To top it off, OmHarmonics touts a technique called Multivariate Resonance Technology (MRT), which “guides you into a state of profound relaxation by harmonizing your senses with audible heartbeat and breathing noises,” going above and beyond the likes of conventional binaural beats technology.

If I’m being really honest, I have no idea what this even is. To be honest, I haven’t been able to discover any concrete evidence to support this, however occasionally I might dig into it and be able to tell you more in another article.

I have to say that I think OmHarmonics’ website is being aggressively marketed, going beyond what I’m used to seeing in my favorite brainwave entrainment environment.

But this is the reason Mindvalley quickly went from a poor eBook firm to a multi-million dollar business.

You have to deal with an intense sales component, and after putting up with the corporate machine marketing used here, you could think the product is less than zen.

It seems like marketers are on top of things, but some of you might find their excitement intimidating. They could be reading this and want to make a note of it. I’m trying to be helpful here.

Put your best face forward. You know exactly why you need the goods, but they’re attempting to assist you under the presumption that you are unaware of its advantageous features.

If you’re not cynical, I suppose you could describe this amount of marketing as enthusiasm.

For myself, I would describe it as pricey advertising that demonstrates the product has previously generated a significant amount of revenue in order to support the advertising.

The Test: Crunch Time

In return for your email address on the top page, I was offered a free trial of the program that includes brief 15-minute versions of each audio and “The Balance: Level 1.”

I was a little taken aback by the composition because I was anticipating the typical resonating binaural frequencies.

Simply said, it lacks the punch you get with, say, BinauralBeatsMeditation or Ennora products.

To be quite honest, as a fan of binaural beats, I initially laughed this off since it felt like cheesy, antiquated relaxing music.

Okay, I must keep in mind game face. I have to keep in mind that the overlay is only there for harmonic effects, to cover up the somewhat unsettling continuous humming of the main core in frequency, which some people don’t like but which I like.

The binaural frequency components were used both inside and outside of the listenable range during the 15 minutes. The music overlay still has a tendency to cut off the primary frequencies.

I did, however, feel better and more at ease as a result. It wasn’t mind-blowing, but then again, sometimes I’m overworked and a little immune.

But in summary, I would say that OmHarmonic’s music selection is more accessible and something I would listen to while doing yoga.

With Regard to Other Brands

So sure, at first I felt like something was lacking because I’m accustomed to listening to BB songs with highly clear tones and raw tones.

The basic frequencies are often clearly audible on the aforementioned brands and common BB items.

Hardcore audiophiles and binaural aficionados would enjoy this as more focus is placed on the frequency response process rather than attempting to produce a “beautiful” musical composition that you may become connected to.

I believe that this is the purpose, though. It’s sort of geared at newcomers and those who enjoy being in the middle. This may be compared to the pop-music brand of the brainwave entrainment business. Also, some pop music is enjoyable.

Possible Applications of OmHarmonics’ Soft Style

As previously indicated, the audios offered by OmHarmonics are less jarring than the bulk of binaural music available.

They would be ideal for unwinding and relaxing in general, as well as for any type of relaxation therapy. Depending on the track you’re listening to, you might creatively employ these audios everywhere you wish to provide a calming mood or where concentration is needed.

So what’s my real summary of this?

I don’t like MindValley’s aggressive sales tactics since they undermine the industry’s ethics. Even though Omharmonics has a lighter tone than some of the other programs I listen to, it still has an impact on me.

Although I have to admit that when I’m working or just need some music for thought, I appreciate lighter songs like “The Focus.”

Then here is a series of audios that you’ll like if you’re new to this brainwave entrainment thing or don’t really like tracks with a loud frequency hum rumbling beneath the soundscape.

These days, who doesn’t want greater productivity and relaxation? OmHarmonics definitely fills a need in the contemporary market by offering a useful coping mechanism for people who lead high-stress lives. Nice thing.

It was wonderful to read your review. I concur with your blog’s overall balance here. I purchase goods from MindValley. and I really like the Company and “Vishen L.” I’ve like several of their goods, and I really liked one by Harv T. Eker called “Secrets of a Millionaire Mind,” which was pretty expensive. For me, Harv serves as a valuable mentor.

I wholeheartedly concur that OMHARMONICS’ present marketing is borderline “pushy” and “off-putting” for this sort of product. It is also absurdly pricey for what is essentially entry-level Binaural Beats MUZAK.

I have used CentrePointe’s HOLOSYNC meditation tool for a long time among other ones (Bill Harris). Despite the heavy rain and chimes Soundscape adds, this costly material leans far more toward raw tones. This may be rather “tough” at times, and it certainly throws off brain rhythms, as I’ve noticed. I always give my brain a day to “rebuild” or “recover” after sessions. Having said that, the effects are both long-lasting and gradual. I have greater mental endurance than persons half my age, and when I need to, I can focus hyper-intensely for extended periods of time (particularly in business).

Your underlying argument that Mindvalley’s marketing is “not very Zen” for a meditation product, in my opinion, is perhaps just as significant as the fact that this pricey item is very lightweight. I believe we have a prime case of marketing that is not in line with the good. In contrast to the free samples of OMHARMONICS I have tested, Holosync Marketing is just as “pushy,” but their product is 100 times more potent and effective.

Hello Rod, I appreciate your feedback. In the past seven years or so, MindValley has evolved into a marketing machine, and I do believe that not only OH but many of their current products are deceptive and don’t adhere to the ethical principles Vishen has always claimed to be motivated by. But I suppose this is a sign of growth, profitability, the “bottom line,” and needing to pay employees. Because of their size, they must continually roll out new programming to keep the machine running well. I used to use Holosync as well, and I still use on occasion, but I now prefer music that is constructed around frequencies, like the BBM tunes, because Holosync is, as you say, a little too raw. Anyway, I’m delighted to hear you are still getting a lot out of it. Happy New Year!

I appreciate your opinion about OmHarmonics. The use of binaural beats seems “too wonderful to be true,” in the words of my skeptic but hopefully receptive thinking.
