Description
Figure skating spins include the standing side split, standing open front split, heel stretch, and bow.
Technical phrases for a variety of sports and athletic activities include a Standing Side Split and a Standing Open Front Split. The rotation of the supporting leg is mostly responsible for determining whether the skill is a side split or an open front split. This posture is known as the I-Spin or the Y-Spin in the sport of figure skating. The Heel Stretch or Bow and Arrow for the Flyer is known in cheerleading. This stance is frequently used in other disciplines including yoga, dance, martial arts, and gymnastics.
Positioned Side Split
The decision generally comes down to how well they can do each split while lying on the ground. If the supporting leg turns out, a standing open front split can be rapidly converted to a standing side split.
Positioned Side Split
Prior to practicing on the standing variant, it is advised to become proficient in at least one of the two splits indicated above. To order the Open Front Split Program, click here. To purchase the Side Split program, click here.
