Description
A student asked me to develop a course on how to handle emergencies last year, in 2019. I added this to my list of future courses I need to build because it is a crucial component of long-term planning.
Later, in January 2020, I discovered the Coronavisus (now known as COVID-19) and made the decision to make this course my primary goal.
But unlike my typical courses, which are the culmination of years of work, this course wasn’t created overnight.
This course, which was created in a hurry, is intended to provide you with the knowledge I discovered to be most helpful when researching the topic of emergency management and its connected fields, such as crises and disasters, over the last month (2020.02).
I’ve gathered the concepts, thought processes, and mental models that I believe are most beneficial in one location. In order for you to check these out, conduct further research on your own, and stay current as things change, I’ve also gathered my favorite websites, books, PDFs, and other resources in one location.
This course largely focuses on how to approach addressing emergencies as a leader in a family and as an individual. Since many specifics concerning COVID-19 are still unclear or unknown, I haven’t included much about the disease itself. Instead, I’d rather refer you in the direction of the finest resources for current information so you may utilize those to learn more about the condition.
