Lee Yong-Taekkyon Bok’s – Traditional Korean Martial Art Taekkyon is a native Korean martial art that was on the verge of extinction in the early 1900s.
Grandmaster Song Duk-ki preserved it until his death, and the Korean government considers it a Cultural Asset.
Taekkyon motions are marked by rhythmic beauty and elegance, which conceal the lethal aim of its practitioners.
Grandmaster Lee Yong-bok, chairman of the Korea Taekkyon Association, and his National Demonstration Team deliver spectacular performances of Taekkyon at its best in this DVD, which was shot on site at the ancient Korean Folk Village in Yongin.

Lee Yong-bok is the Headmaster of the Korea Taekkyon Association, which the South Korean government recognizes as the legitimate taekkyon organization.
Prior to Grandmaster Song’s death in 1987, Grandmaster Lee studied from him and is actively fighting to maintain the art of taekkyon.
Grandmaster Lee’s national demonstration team performs in the ancient Korean Folk Village in Yongin, Korea.
He is the author of Taekkyon, Three Whistle Self-Defense, and his work has appeared in national and international publications.
He also holds an Honorary Doctorate of Education.
