“Since 1975, when I began doing kendo in Brazil, I have traveled to a variety of Dojos throughout the globe. I count myself extremely lucky to having learned from so many different Senseis, all of them were excellent teachers. They not only taught me the basics of Kendo, but also moral principles. I want to express my gratitude to all of my senseis and other kenshis who practiced kendo with me with patience.
I was frequently asked whether there was a decent Kendo instructional DVD available in languages other than Japanese, but I was unable to locate any. For this reason, I made the decision to create one on my own in the hopes that it would be useful to many others outside of Japan who were interested in kendo.
This DVD is based on the knowledge and skills I’ve acquired over the course of my 36-year kendo career. While I have done my best to introduce what I know and have been taught in kendo, it is far from flawless.
In order to raise the caliber of the upcoming DVD releases, I am open to any feedback or recommendations.”
