QUOTE FROM THE BACK COVER
“An interesting, very accessible overview of the advanced persuasive techniques we come across in many contexts. Levine examines all the ways humans try to convince one another—from television to telemarketing, from self-deception to suicide cults—and explains how and why they succeed (or don’t). You’ll know where to go the next time you question what drove you to spend $50 on a medallion honoring Friends’ season finale.

Globe and Mail
Levine uses his analysis to further his true goal of preparing the reader to recognize and avoid manipulation.
Wall Street Journal
