The next pages will establish a line of thinking that may have been attempted by other astrology students, but I feel I may claim to have been the first to do so, having done so in a lecture given in front of the British Astrological Society in 1923. The notion of a potential interaction between the forces unique to the various planes or realms of existence will be recognizable to students of my Manual of Astrology, and a study of the Prenatal Epoch will have prepared the audience for this Solar Epoch argument. The concept has been percolating in my head for a long time and is starting to move toward expression. The fundamental premise was that since Man is made up of a complex nature and has been endowed with what could be called interior senses, which are capable of responding to some of the finer forces in the cosmos, there must be a continuity of matter on the physical plane of existence that provides a medium for the ultimate reception of impressions obtained from these interior sources. In summary, just as man is said to be made up of Spirit, Soul, and Body, so too is he equipped with an organism that may react to impulses from the Solar, Lunar, and Terrestrial planes of existence in the physical world. The ancient symbolism of the Circle, Crescent, and Cross is developed here. The circle is a representation of the Spirit or the Sun, the source of all life and a never-ending source of heat and light that are the ultimate manifestations of Love and Wisdom, Charity and Truth, Affection and Knowledge, Action and Speech on this level of existence. As a result, there is a dependence on the Supreme Source of all things, which manifests itself most fully in human existence.

The Moon and the Crescent are represented as the Crescent. The Spiritual Sun, a higher source, provides the Soul with light in a similar way as the lesser luminary. Being caught between the pulls of the Sun on one side and the Earth on the other, it passes through several stages and follows an erratic journey. An eclipse occurs when the Earth stands in the way of the Moon and Sun. The Moon is momentarily without access to the Sun’s light, and the Soul of Man is also without light. The Moon doesn’t produce any light of its own, but instead reflects sunlight back to the Earth, which would otherwise be completely black during the night.

The Cross is a representation of both the Earth, from which man’s physical body is derived, and the Body of man. The fourfold division of our bodily functions—absorption, circulation, secretion, and excretion—as well as the four seasons to which we are subject—spring, summer, autumn, and winter—are all represented by the cross, along with the segmentation of the cell from which man is born, the physical cross on which the Soul suffers in its uplifting, and the fourfold division of our bodily functions. The Cross establishes the cardinal points, such as dawn, noon, sunset, and midnight, as well as the equinoxes and solstices, which serve as the starting points for our yearly calendar.

The pressure of other work has long delayed the demonstration of this sidereal mediation principle, but I am finally in a position to present the findings of my research to students of astrology and to present a thesis that, for its mathematical integrity alone, deserves at least the objective scrutiny that I hope it will receive. Physically speaking, “nothing is true which does not answer to a mathematical test,” as has been claimed, is true. We must keep in mind that even if we accept this criterion, there are many real things that are not quantifiable in physical terms and cannot be quantified in this way. It does not appear implausible that the current theory will contribute to a future understanding of the sex-determination issue, which is currently dominating public discourse. The use of the Lunar Epoch, which illustrates the Law of Alternation, a thesis that is already widely known to students, may substantially simplify the scientific approach to this challenging issue of human life. I suggest reading The Prenatal Epoch by Mr. E. H. Bailey as an extension of the fundamental laws outlined in The Manual of Astrology, Book III, under the heading “The Prenatal Epoch and the Law of Sex,” for those who are unfamiliar with the key details pertaining to the Lunar Epoch and its relationship with the time of a recorded birth.

What is forex?

Quite simply, it’s the global market that allows one to trade two currencies against each other.

If you think one currency will be stronger versus the other, and you end up correct, then you can make a profit.

If you’ve ever traveled to another country, you usually had to find a currency exchange booth at the airport, and then exchange the money you have in your wallet into the currency of the country you are visiting.

You go up to the counter and notice a screen displaying different exchange rates for different currencies.

An exchange rate is the relative price of two currencies from two different countries.

You find “Japanese yen” and think to yourself, “WOW! My one dollar is worth 100 yen?! And I have ten dollars! I’m going to be rich!!!”
When you do this, you’ve essentially participated in the forex market!

You’ve exchanged one currency for another.

Or in forex trading terms, assuming you’re an American visiting Japan, you’ve sold dollars and bought yen.

Currency Exchange

Before you fly back home, you stop by the currency exchange booth to exchange the yen that you miraculously have left over (Tokyo is expensive!) and notice the exchange rates have changed.

It’s these changes in the exchange rates that allow you to make money in the foreign exchange market.
