TTC – Building a Better Vocabulary
**More information:
Description:
What connection exists between the words bombast and cushion filling? What distinguishes spurious from specious claims? Would you like to be referred to as a snollygoster?
Understanding numerous words is not the mark of a strong vocabulary; rather, it is knowing the precise term to employ in a given circumstance or context. Your speaking, writing, and even thinking abilities may all be improved with a strong vocabulary. If you wish to expand your own vocabulary, write or communicate more clearly in professional contexts, or improve your command of the English language, this course will help. This course offers a fun and effective way to increase your vocabulary for anybody who has ever struggled to find the right word at the right time based on research.
It teaches you about the etymology (history) and morphology (structure) of words and explores the cognitive science underlying encoding new words in long-term memory. Building a Better Vocabulary is taught by Professor Kevin Flanigan of West Chester University of Pennsylvania.
