Warriors – Season 1 on the History Channel Fighters delves into the culture of history’s greatest famous warriors to investigate their armaments, tactics, training, and, ultimately, their psychology.
Every episode presents the epic narrative of one of the world’s most famous warrior groups—Vikings, Spartans, Barbarians, and Samurai—along with the rituals, technology, and tactics that made them so powerful.
Terry Schappert, a Green Beret and 17-year veteran now serving in the US Special Forces, hosts Warriors.
He goes deeply into the mentality of a warrior, showing what drives these individuals to rise above the crowd to lead, battle, and sometimes die.
Each Warriors episode also delves into a pivotal fight that demonstrates the warrior’s abilities, flaws, and life-or-death struggle.
Terry is completely involved in the warrior culture, from the weaponry used to the pre-battle rituals, to the initiations, to combat strategy and tactics.
When going deep into Viking culture, he firsthand encounters the combat skills and weaponry of the warriors known as “the Hells Angels” of the Middle Ages.
Terry discovers the secrets and customs of the elite and enigmatic warriors that dominated Japan for generations in the Samurai episode.

There was no unified Viking monarchy at the start of this age, but rather a collection of petty warringchiefdoms whose male people honed their maritime warfare talents by battling one another.
Boats were so precious to the Vikings that they preferred to seize them rather than destroy them.
